'Flepp'

Japanese large-flowered variety, tepals cream white. White filaments and brown pollen. The underside of the tepals has a beautiful purple-red colouring (see photo). At first opening the flower reveals its texensis parentage, but then goes on to open further into a flatter flower. The cultivar name means "red berry" in the language of a former occupant of Japan.
