Not a clematis that you will find in your local garden centre, but actually a rather important one. H38 is the designation of a particular specimen of koreana var fragrans collected on the expedition Nordic Arboretum Udvalg in 1976. The seed produced a fragrant koreana which was used by Dr Magnus Johnson to produce a number of fragrant hybrids.
