Large, pale, pinky-white flowers with a rosy-lavender margin and a satin sheen, darker rosy-lavender on the reverse of the tepals. May require winter protection in cold areas, remains semi-evergreen in these circumstances. Florida var sieboldiana is normally a sterile form but occasionally, as here, a flower will produce fertile seed. This form is a selection from such seed. Introduced by Thorncroft Clematis Nursery, UK, at the 2004 Chelsea Flower Show.
