'Fujikaori'

Small, bell-shaped, red-purple flowers with a white influence. According to Maurice Horn of Joy Creek Nursery, "The English rendering of the Japanese name reflects the ancient pronunciation of the name of a central character in The Tale of Genji."

Although originally attributed to M Chikuma as the raiser it has since emerged that this was K Ozawa and the Chikumas have subsequently confirmed this.
