Królowa Jadwiga

Large, silky-white flowers with prominent midribs which are greenish when young. Creamy-white filaments with purple anthers. Fruit-heads persistent. Named after Queen Jadwiga of Poland, who ruled 1384-1399 and is now venerated as Saint Hedwig by the Roman Catholic Church.
