Large, dark red-purple flowers. Filaments pale purple; connectives dark purple-violet; anthers white. Seed-heads persistent. The name can mean "kimono", "brilliant diamond" or "adamantine" in Japanese. Attributed to Florida Group by the raiser which we treat as part of the larger "early large-flowered group".
