'Kaori-no-kimi'

Small, nodding, bell-shaped flowers, outside violet shading to pale violet along exposed margins, inside white at base shading to purple at margins and tips. Filaments greenish-white, anthers yellow. Seed heads persistent.

“Kahori” means “scent”; “kimi” is an honorific title in old-style Japanese.
