'Kosmicheskaia Melodiia'

Deep cherry-purple flowers with a satin sheen. Contrasting cream filaments with purple anthers. Raised in 1965 at the State Nikitsky Botanic Garden, Crimea by A N Volosenko-Valenis and M A Beskaravainaja. The name means 'Cosmic Melody' and commemorates the first flight of the Russian cosmonauts. A hybrid of 'Gipsy Queen' x 'Jackmanii Alba'.
